Dr. Brockhouse has practiced family medicine in Bloomington-Normal since 1991. Having earned two degrees from Illinois State University, she has called Bloomington-Normal home since 1976. She earned her medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 1988, and went on to complete the SIU/Decatur Family Practice Residency Program in August 1991. Dr. Brockhouse is board-certified in Family Medicine with recent re-certification in April 2013.

Dr. Brockhouse provides care for individuals and families from infancy through the geriatric patient. She practices all aspects of family medicine from chronic disease management to acute illness/injury. Dr. Brockhouse’s interests are women’s health preventive medicine, and addiction medicine. She is delighted to be a member of the Chestnut Family Health Center team, and hopes to build a diverse practice with patients of all ages who want quality health care.

Kelly is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of nurse practitioner experience. She completed her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Illinois in Chicago. During her career in Central Illinois, Kelly spent many years at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center in various roles and eight years at Planned Parenthood.

Sheila is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over nine years of nurse practitioner experience. She completed her Masters in Nursing Science at Northern Illinois University and is a board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Sheila has worked in a variety of settings including Internal Medicine, Pain Management and a variety of ambulatory and correctional settings. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Illinois Nurses Association among other professional groups. Sheila is focused on preventive care and the overall wellness and health promotion of patients while maintaining high and appropriate standards of care.

Maria has devoted herself for the past 25 years to the compassionate care and treatment of a broad range of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders (anxiety, depression, etc.) Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship counseling, and cognitive decline. Dr. Mynatt received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed a psychiatry residency at Northwestern University Evanston Hospital. She is a former unit manager for several psychiatric inpatient hospitals. She combines the best of traditional and cutting-edge treatment types including talk therapy, medication, nutritional evaluation and support, biofeedback, meditation, resilience training, educational tools and devices, and genetic testing. Dr. Mynatt is Board Eligible. She is a member of the Illinois Psychiatric Society and American Psychiatric Association.

Annie is a “townie,” born and raised in the Bloomington-Normal area. She is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her Doctoral degree in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing at Methodist College. She is a member of the ANA (American Nurses Association) and APNA (American Psychiatric Nurses Association). Her 10+ years of mental health and pediatric experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychiatric disorders. She believes in working alongside patients to improve their quality of life through an integrated approach to the treatment of psychiatric conditions.

Shijin is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She received her doctoral degree in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, as well as certification in sleep health and assistive technology. Shijin completed her bachelor’s in Nursing, Psychology, and Health and Human Physiology at the University of Iowa. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychiatric disorders, autism, and conduct disorder with or without physical disabilities. She believes in taking an integrated approach to the treatment of psychiatric conditions and is committed to collaborating with patients to improve their quality of life.

Dr. Garner has practiced internal medicine in Illinois since 1988. Dr. Garner received his bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He received his MD degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his internship and residency at Saint John’s Mercy Medical Center in Saint Louis, Mo. Dr. Garner is board certified in general internal medicine and in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Habib is a licensed physician and surgeon with a board certification in psychiatry. Dr. Habib received his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences and his board certification through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. Dr. Habib has been practicing for more than 20 years with a focus on adult psychiatry. In addition to working at Chestnut Health Systems, Dr. Habib has a private practice and admitting privileges at both Gateway Regional Medical Center and Mercy Hospital.

Jaime is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Missouri and Illinois who joined Chestnut Health Systems in 2021. She attended the University of Missouri – Saint Louis to receive her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Prior to this, she worked for nineteen years in an array of nursing areas including critical care, medical-surgical, behavioral health as well as teaching undergraduate clinicals.

Debbie is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She received her Masters of Science in Nursing Education degree in 2006 and completed a Post-Graduate Certificate as a FNP in 2019 along with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at University of Missouri-St. Louis. Her passion is to improve access to care in underserved populations. She enjoys working with a wide variety of patients and is committed to providing excellent care.

Jenia is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Jenia completed her masters in Nursing Science at Maryville University and her Bachelors in Nursing Science at Southern Illinois. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Kari is a dually certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in advanced practice. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Kari has worked in a variety of settings including Family Health, Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Pediatrics, and Emergency Medicine as a member of the St. Louis Children’s Flight Team. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. Kari is focused on helping clients optimize their mental health and restore balance to their lives. She believes partnering with the client to develop a goal-directed treatment plan is the ideal strategy to achieve the best outcomes.

Ellen is a licensed professional counselor and certified personal trainer with the state of Illinois. She has worked with Chestnut since 2015. She oversees the wellness groups in Belleville and the InShape Program.

Tracy is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Tracy is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Tracy completed her Masters in Nursing Science at University of Missouri- St. Louis. Ms. Pacini has been with Chestnut Health Systems since February 2015. She specializes in adult mental health, as well as child and adolescent mental health. Tracy enjoys working with a wide variety of patients. She is also employed by the University of Missouri- St. Louis as Adjunct Faculty since 2012. Ms. Pacini’s goal is to improve the life of those she works with and provide them with tools for success.

Veronica is Chestnut Health Systems’ lead Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). She has been a nurse practitioner with Chestnut since 2014. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master’s in Nursing Science, Psychiatric and Mental Health at the University of North Dakota. She earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Nursing and in Community Health. She has worked with individuals of all ages and in various settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health, urgent care, addiction medicine, and adolescent residential treatment. Her goal is to provide holistic care and to work together to improve client health and wellness.

Molly has been with Chestnut Health Systems since 2018 and joined the Chestnut Family Health Center in 2021. She is a licensed clinical social worker and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, specializing in micro social work. Molly enjoys working with a variety of clients by meeting them where they are to provide individualized support through therapy.

Nick is a board certified Nurse Practitioner with a drive to improve access, education and primary care to underserved populations. He earned a Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. Nick is board certified in Adult-Gerontologic Primary Care. He has worked with many different cultures and populations across the country and looks forward to serving the people of this area.

Janel is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Janel completed her Masters in Nursing Science at University of Missouri- St. Louis and will be completing her Post Masters certificate in Mental Health across the lifespan in December 2020. Janel has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2014 and has been with Chestnut Health Systems since January 2018. Janel enjoys working with a wide variety of patients and has provided care in both acute/urgent and primary based settings. She is a member of both the American Nurses Association and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Janel sees mental health as the cornerstone for overall well-being and uses a person first approach and collaborative and therapeutic techniques to manifest success for those she serves.

Christina is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 6 years of experience in treating patients of all ages. Christina has worked in emergency medicine, critical care, public health, and addiction medicine. She completed her Master’s in Nursing Science at Maryville University in St. Louis. Christina is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in family practice and in psychiatric mental health. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Robyn has been with Chestnut Health Systems since 2014. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She specializes in child and adolescent mental health. Robyn enjoys working with clients in numerous settings including school, residential treatment, and outpatient. Robyn completed her Masters in Nursing Science at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and her post-master’s for mental health at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and at Maryville University. Robyn’s goal is to provide her clients with the tools to live a successful life.
